It had been a long, wet winter. We couldn't get on to the river until late June as the river levels were too high and other unforeseen events stopped us, so it gave us plenty of time to do some additional jobs in preparation for the cruising season ahead. I made 12 porthole mosquito nets, and some door and window mosquito nets. I can see why people get them professionally  made, it was a real task and challenge. Whilst waiting for the weather to improve it did at least give us a chance to meet up with friends on the boat. Full details of our travels are in the Blog posts.
