Our Route from Calais to Bassin Rond.

Calais Canal and the many lifting bridges being opened for us

Dorothee is driving the white van & works for the French waterways and opens the bridges and lock.

We are now out on the canal on our own and the adventure in France begins.

Enjoying the changing scenery.

Our first encounter with a commercial barge on a wider stretch of canal. It felt very intimidating.
