The First Year 2023

As the weather warmed up we spent more and more time on Ayanna. We also had some family and friends come and visit us too which was lovely. We couldn't get out onto the river properly until end of May as the River levels were too high. I passed my Inland Waterways course, Ayhan having already passed his a couple of years earlier.

As time went by it became obvious that Tinker - our adorable 14 year old Turkish cat - was struggling with being on the boat. He obviously wanted to get off and go wandering, but being on the move meant that the risk of him getting lost was too much of a worry and we couldn't bear loosing him. We had to make one of the hardest decisions ever to re-home him. Luckily we found a lovely lady through our Vets. She took him on and he is now settled and has a lovely big house , garden and farmland to explore. We do miss Tinker very much, but we know that he is loved and has a less stressful life.
